The judges marks will count for 100% of the final results. Each finalist will receive a mention at the Awards.
The judges also have the discretion to make a “Highly Commended” Award in deserving cases.
Richard Berridge, PRS, Build-to-Rent Investment & Development Consultant, Blackbird Real Estate
Richard has worked for over 35 years’ in property with particular specialisms in Residential development, investment and PRS. He is an experienced property consultant in the large scale residential investment, Build to Rent and development sector, with strong technical and analytical skills combining verifiable hard data, both historical and current, and financial and demographic projections to give clear concise direction and advice. He has an ability to assimilate information quickly and the experience to determine its place and value. A skilful strategist and planner with an aptitude for identifying opportunities.
Andrew Bulmer, CEO, Institute of Residential Property Management
A Fellow of the Institute of Residential Property Management and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Andrew started his own residential lettings and block management practice in 1995, selling a majority in 2011. Andrew chaired the RICS UK Residential Professional Group Board before becoming UK Residential Director at RICS in 2013. In October 2016, Andrew took the CEO role at the Institute of Residential Property Management. Andrew’s passion is raising standards in the residential property management sector and encouraging property professionals to be a progressive and ethical force for good.
Ian Fletcher, Director of Policy (Real Estate), British Property Federation
Ian Fletcher is Director of Policy (Real Estate) at the British Property Federation, the trade association for the property investment sector. His team covers a wide range of housing, commercial property, planning and development issues. He was a member of the Government’s Montague Review Group, which examined how to encourage greater institutional investment in rented housing. He is currently sitting on the Government’s Review looking at Client Money Protection. Ian has also worked in banking and teaching, holds professional qualifications in finance and market research, and is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Residential Property Management.
Nigel Glen, Chief Executive Officer, ARMA
As Chief Executive Officer, Nigel is responsible for the management of ARMA (The Association of Residential Managing Agents), the overall performance of the organisation and delivery of services to members.
Damian Greenish, Consultant, Pemberton Greenish
Damian Greenish has been a solicitor for over 40 years. Until his retirement as a partner in 2016, he was senior partner and then chairman of the specialist property firm of Pemberton Greenish LLP. He now has his own consultancy. He is a leading authority on residential leasehold reform, having been involved in many of the landmark enfranchisement cases in the Supreme Court, House of Lords, Court of Appeal, High Court and the valuation tribunals. He has been the joint editor of Hague on Leasehold Enfranchisement since 1998. He is well known as a speaker at and as a regular chairman of the leading conferences and seminars in this specialised sector of the law.
Tracey Hartley, Head of Residential, Howard de Walden Estate
Tracey is a Chartered Surveyor specialising in residential property. A Londoner by birth, Tracey grew up in housing stock eventually acquired by the then Notting Hill Housing Trust following years of mis-management by the previous landlord: her experiences of housing, both good and bad, began early in life. Following eight years at the Local Government Ombudsman in London Tracey eventually found her way into estate agency sales and lettings in the North-east of England whilst studying with the Open University. In 2006 Tracey joined Grainger where she qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, became Fund Manager of Grainger’s JV GRIP Fund and latterly Director of Operations. After a decade at Grainger Tracey spent a year with Foundation Real Estate working on Build to Rent developments in the regions and most recently, in October 2017, she took up her current position as Head of Residential at London’s Howard de Walden Estate.
Yashmin Mistry, Partner – Property Practice Group, JPC Law
Yashmin Mistry is a Partner and leads JPC Law’s Property Practice Group. Yashmin is a leading expert in leasehold enfranchisement and landlord & tenant matters and is widely acknowledged as a thought leader in her field. She is influential not only as a practitioner and commentator, but increasingly as someone asked to play an active role in shaping how the law works. Yashmin is a “Recognised Expert” in the prestigious Legal 500 guide as well as receiving recognition in the 2014 to 2018 “Top 100 Most Influential People in the Residential Sector” property guide.
Craig Stevens, Founder and Managing Director of Warwick Estates
Craig started out his career in banking 1999. Over this time Craig invested heavily in buy to let flats, drawing his attention to the flawed leasehold sector and sparking his desire for change. Over the coming years Craig worked for two large managing agents, undertaking the role of a property manager and experiencing first hand the restricted ability to deliver excellent client and customer service. In 2007 Craig founded Warwick Estates, a managing agent centred around delivering services clients want in a way that customers need. Warwick Estates is now one of the largest agents in the sector and remains committed to creating positive change and redefining quality for all stakeholders.
